It is with great pleasure that I invite you to join the select group of antiquarian booksellers at Wilson Hall, The University of Melbourne, on the occasion of the 40th ANZAAB Australian Antiquarian Book Fair (Melbourne Rare Book Fair) from Friday July 26 - Sunday July 28.

For the person who appreciates books, writing or art, ANZAAB book fairs are something of great interest, integrity and genuine depth. This year's Melbourne Rare Book Fair will be no exception and will reflect the very best of our modern global village, with leading dealers from the UK and US exhibiting alongside the finest Australian booksellers.

Our book fairs offer an opportunity to see, handle and purchase antiquarian and collectable books, antique prints and maps and other items on paper which are scarce, or fine, or both. As a visitor, you will have the opportunity to view works that have changed the course of history, alongside those that have provided amusement and solace for generations. You can also talk to dealers who are experts in their fields; people for whom the book and ideas are an essential part of life.

Our book fairs are special because our members are special. Membership is an honour and is only bestowed on those who have been dealing in books for at least five years, who have been sponsored by four of their peers and who the ANZAAB membership recognise as worthy of joining their ranks. Our members are expected to continually improve their knowledge of the world of books, and at all times to behave ethically. Buying from one of our dealers or any of our ILAB (International League Antiquarian Booksellers) colleagues gives you an assurance of authenticity and care. The logos of ANZAAB and ILAB are indications of the highest quality.

If you have a passion for books, ideas and history, we hope that nothing will stop you from attending the Melbourne Rare Book Fair, held at Wilson Hall over the last weekend in July.
